Am I the only person that is so mixed up this week I can’t recall what day it is????? Having a holiday in the middle of the week, going out of town two days and my entire week of normal, scheduled activities cancelled or missed has thrown me for a loop!! LOL
We had a fun couple of days with our friend Kathy, with lots of talking, laughing, and a few tears thrown in for good measure. We had lunch at an entertaining cafe, dinner at our favorite mexican restraurant, and wrapped up the visit with brunch at a new location. All in all, a good way to wrap up the 4th of July week!!
Using The One Horse, One Sleigh DSP!!!

There’s something peaceful about blue Christmas cards, and especially looking at these quiet snow scenes in the One Horse, One Sleigh DSP. Adding a decorative edge from the Basic Borders dies, the beautiful Night Of Navy ribbon, and a greeting from the Nested Essentials dies makes for a beautiful card, don’t you think? Add a couple of the Adhesive Backed Snowflakes new to the Online Exclusives and it also makes for a pretty simple card as well. When you are making lots of Christmas cards, pretty simple is a big plus!!!
We’re Goin’ To — Kansas City!!! (Are You Singing That??)

So, one of our favorite stores for spices is The Planters Seed & Spice Company down by City Market. It has the appeal of a nostalgic general store with the original wood floors and seed drawers. You name it, they probably have it in bulk spices!!! We usually hit Planters a couple of times a year. But let’s be truthful here – POOL BOY shops, I carry the old time basket for our purchases!!! It’s not the easiest place to get to, but well worth stopping if you love to cook or garden. And it’s a block from City Market and the Steamboat Arabia museum so you could make a full day of it on a weekend.
When Pool Boy Picks Our Restraurants, It’s Always An Adventure!

Right across the street from Planters is the Kansas City Taco Company and we’ve never had the chance to eat there but always wanted to try it. It was very good, but I have to say the decor is highly eclectic!!!! Anytime we are heading out of town for vacation, Pool Boy starts gathering his restraurant choices and he has them listed under cities that are alphabetized! With us heading to San Antonio in September, he already has 6-7 possible choices. Going to Juneau, Alaska???? He’s got a couple there as well!!! LOL!!! Several years ago we came to the following agreement – he will take me anywhere I want to go but HE gets to select where we eat. How’s that for compromise???
Until next time, happy crafting, happy stamping, and God Bless!!!!
