Between the Spring Sampler/card class with the Floral Delight DSP AND this upcoming weekend’s retreat, I’m seeing Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Old Olive colors in my dreams. This paper is beautiful and so perfect for spring, and when you throw in the coordinating vellum it just opens up so many design possibilities, but I got to say I’m looking forward to some pink and purple creations!
We originally chose to use the Bokeh but after some discussion we switched over to the Floral Delight. My cards are designed and I know Pam is working on hers as well, and come Wednesday I’m switching to working on the table gifts for everyone. Pam and I had lunch with some wonderful ladies at OnStage who graciously shared their 3-D projects with us, and they are perfect for our little gifts for those participating! Can’t wait to show them to you next week!

The Floral Delight Suite from the Spring catalog quickly became a favorite, what with the beautiful DSP, the color combination, the beautiful stamped images and the detailed dies. Throw in the teeny tiny gold bumble bees – which are still on back order! – and you have the perfect way to welcome spring with your paper crafting. I will share all of the cards next week after the retreat, but take a look at the hexagon dies above.
The heagon dies comes from the Meant To Bee dies that were part of the spring scrapbooking brochure. Not a scrapbooker? You STILL NEED TO LOOK!! There are materials that will easily be used in your cardmaking designs as well!! Click on the link below to see them. These hexagons cut two pieces – the inside AND the thin edge piece as well. Layer them as I did above or just space out the edge pieces, switch colors – there’s lots of possibilities!

Layer a large white hexagon on the inside of the card for the sentiment! This way, you can use another piece of the beautiful DSP for the background. And one of my favorite things about the stamps is that they are very forgiving. You do NOT have to stamp them perfectly, making crafting with them easy.
Final Thoughts….
Wonder where the greeting and sentiment came from? They are part of a new stamp set that will be available the first week of May called The Right Words. This is a great set of greetings to use for so many occasions, so be sure to add to your wish list.
Be sure to go check out the hexagon dies! Even if you simply order the dies there is lots of versatility to them! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
