After the week away at Gulf Shores with the family, I’m happy to say all are safely home and ready to move towards July 4th weekend! We had a wonderful time gathered as a family and other than one post I took the week off and focused on family and vacation. We were blessed with beautiful weather, good food, and time together. Was everything smooth? Of course not. Our granddaughter Fiona ran a fever most of the week (tested negative for the main culprits Covid, Influenza A and B thankfully) so it greatly reduced her beach time, and I ended up in Urgent Care one morning as well needing some meds, but otherwise pretty smooth sailing through the week. Not an easy feat with 4 generations gathered together for an extended time.
Nora enjoyed her time boogie-boarding with her mom (who decided she is too old to relive her teen years), Calvin enjoyed his first time on the beach and seeing the “osthean” (read that like a 2 year old with a lisp}, and even Pool Boy made it to the beach for some family time. - Monday, June 30 – In Person Christmas Card Class will meet at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon, MO. Kits will mail WEDNESDAY, JULY 2 for those signed up for the online class. Tutorials will be emailed out on THURSDAY, JULY 3!!!
- Tuesday, July 1 – my FB LIVE at 4:30pm central. My Monday regular time was changed due to the card class!
- Wednesday, July 2 – Techniques Class #1 will gather at my home at noon!
- Tuesday, July 8 – STAMP ‘n SIP will meet at the Whistle Stop in Bevier at 5:30pm. Early supper will be at Ugo’s across the street at 4:30!
- Tuesday, July 15 – Christmas Card Class #2 will meet inperson at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon, MO. We are meeting early in July due to VBS set up and the week we are in Branson. SIGN UP by JULY 10!!!
- ONLINE SPEED BINGO!!!! Gather with us online by FB LIVE to catch our Speed Bingo Night and FLIP FLAP CLASS!!! Flip Flaps are an easy way to add interest and variety to your crafting journey!!!! AND you get the chance to win BINGO prizes (gift certificates!) as well!!!! Cost is $25 for those able to pick up the kit locally, $30 for those needing card kit/goody bag mailed. Also, be watching for the Pop Up Beautiful Butterfly Class to be announced. I had hoped to get it in during June, but with vacation preparation, life was too hectic. That’s the beauty of Pop Up Classes though – no scheduling needed, just pop in where I have time and availability. More to follow!!!!
Final Thoughts…..
Baby Benjamin Reed enjoyed several firsts – road tripping across state lines, beach time, french fries, and what trip through Memphis is complete without BBQ RIBS???? Ben enjoyed gumming and gnawing the rib bones! Following in his daddy and papa’s shoes enjoying the popular BBQ establishments! Oh, and Pool Boy’s Mom Elda also enjoyed a first as well – her first BUC-EE’S Stop!!! What a zoo it was!!! You know it’s bad when they have attendants directing traffic outside AND in the bathrooms!!! Wowza!!
