Using The Party Banners For Any Season!

As the scriptures say, “There’s a time for every season under heaven”. Besides the normal annual seasons – spring, summer, fall and winter – our lives are centered around “seasons”. Hunters look forward to the start of “hunting season”. Most of us do NOT look forward to the dreaded “tax season”. Currently we are in the “back to school” season with clothes, supplies, and the likes. Holiday season is just around the corner as well! Pool Boy and I have a season we look forward to annually too – the arrival of FOOTBALL SEASON!

We look forward to the arrival of Chiefs’ football, and especially the times we gather with our tailgating friends for festivities before the game. We cheer when our players and coaches drive by, we do the tomahawk chop when the opposing team arrives, we speculate if Taylor Swift has arrived through our gate entrance, and Arrowhead is the only place where you can stuff yourself with tailgating food, yet walk through the parking lots and become hungry again from the smells of grills, smokers, and the scent of food in the air.

So when the Party Banners and Letters arrived in the Annual Catalog, one of the first banner ideas I had was a KC Chiefs banner in the colors red and yellow! I have had all summer to work on it, but didn’t get around to it until last Friday – and it was a rush to get it up before the preseason game began that evening! BUT it was in place BEFORE kickoff!

Although these banners and letters are extremely costly, I know that I will get my money’s worth from them in the future – birthday parties, seasonal decorations, gift ideas, etc. THEY ARE PERFECT FOR TEACHERS!! And with a twist of the cut and emboss machine handle you can quickly add texture and interest to your banners with any embossing folder!!!

The large red banners are cut out of Real Red card stock, and the yellow banner is actually a DSP from Floral Impressions. Both banners were embossed, the letters were double stacked with Crushed Curry and Real Red, and the football dies were ones I found on Amazon. The Real Red ribbon is one of the new ones coming with the arrival of the Holiday mini catalog, and the ribbon slits were created with a punch from the Tags Of Thanks bundle.

Final Thoughts….

I shared a masculine card from the Autumn mega suite on Wednesday night for a FB LIVE, and will start next week with posting the PDF as well as the card. I decided I wanted to make another one for a shorter video, so that will appear then as well.
