I have this “love/hate” relationship with technology. Just when I am feeling confident and complacent with my technical skills, technology decides to be fickle and not play fair! Yesterday I was ahead of schedule with my to-do list and I was thrilled to have a class tutorial typed, and ready to email. After my FB LIVE all I had to do was simply attach to emails and send it on it’s way. Should have been a breeze, right? And after uploading my FB LIVE to youtube, I would be finished for the day. Would have and should have, except technology decided to change the rules.
Somewhere after I had typed the tutorial which SHOULD have saved to google docs, it didn’t happen. Nothing there and I can not find it. So that means technology won and my early night got pushed back a couple of hours later. I survived thought, and best news is I completed my to-do list and all is good.

On Monday I shared the cute thank you cards I made for a young couple who are ready and waiting for baby to arrive. I love using my papercrafting skills to create simple gifts for others, and these note cards will come in handy to send thank yous without having to run to Wally World to purchase.
During my FB LIVE I shared a great holder for these notecards that I cased from Pootles Papercrafts. She is like the queen of boxes, bags, and treat holders so be sure to check her out on her fb page. Did you miss the FB LIVE? No problem, because I’ve since uploaded to my YouTube channel and you can watch at the link below. While you are there, please subscribe to my channel so you receive notifications of future videos!

This little project creates a pocket to hold the notecards and envelopes in place as you can see from the side view. To finish out the gift, I simply enclosed the entire project in a cellophane treat bag you can find at Dollar Tree (20 in a package for $1.25!), tucked in a gift card for a pizza that they can use when they don’t feel like cooking, and tied up with a simple bow. Let’s face it – parents with a 3 year old AND a new born are in survival mode for the first couple of months, and there will be many times they don’t feel like cooking!
Final Thoughts….
Have you thought how you can use your papercrafting talents to share as gifts this coming holiday season?? Now is a great time to start thinking, planning, and putting into action before the rush of the holidays. Maybe a simple framed piece, or a desk calendar and post it note holder that can be used all year, or simply some beautiful handcrafted cards they can use are easy to make, and equally easy on the pocketbook BUT loaded with love.
And if you can’t think of anything else, a loaf of homemade bread or car wash tokens are AWESOME!!! (You have to watch the recording to understand that comment!) Until next time, have a great day crafting, creating, PLANNING gift ideas, and God Bless!
