I always have good intentions such as saying I would post Saturday and Sunday, BUT once I got started cleaning and picking up, packing and gathering stuff to go, etc. it just didn’t happen. The next thing I knew it was noon, and if my post isn’t published before that it’s held til the next day!
I like to leave the house picked up and pretty much everything in it’s place when we head out on a trip. The cleaning lady will be here during the week while we are gone, so we will walk in to a home clean and free of clutter. Laundry done, folded and put away, dishes washed, AND machine doors open to avoid any unpleasant odors, and trash already outside. Good thing everything was done on Saturday because Pool Boy wanted to leave at 3 am Sunday for the Chiefs game!!!! Thankfully we are staying over in KC for our flight Monday morning so no long drive home.

With the week we’ve had, I still hadn’t put away my supplies from the Christmas Card class. After cleaning stamps and blocks, putting away stamp sets, scraps, and inks, the last thing I was going to do was pull it all out to stamp and die cut anything!!!! For once my room will remain clean for the week we are gone.
That’s where these little punched out pieces are fun and easy to work with! I cut DSP into 1 1/2 x 12 inch strips, and with a quick swipe of the adhesive I glued them around a styrofoam wreath. With scissors I cut the flag tips on the strips, then added the variety of punched items with dimensionals!!!! Super cute and super easy!!!

I grabbed one of my frames stashed in my craft room for cute scene. FYI, I hate to think how many unused frames are hidden in my craft area! When I see a good deal and one I think I can do something with, they just follow me home! Megan and Evan will talk about their mother hoarding frames when I am no longer here!
This frame is 12 x 6, so I simply started with the sidewalk/house scene and created my own Halloween parade!!! Cal will love this when he sees it on display. He is really into the whole Halloween decoration thing this year.
Final Thoughts….
We always had great Halloween parades at the two elementary schools where I taught 25 years. Use to be all of the parents would come dressed up and away we would go, with all of the students and parents following the cardinal mascot down the main street of downtown. I believe one time Cara and Jen got me to wear the mustard costume while they were the ketchup and hotdog. There was not a second time! We also dressed as the three Caballero with ponchos, sombreros, and guitars. Much more my style!
I believe the parents were asked to not participate after the year one of the single moms dressed up as Lady Godiva in a nude body suit and proceeded to chase the single principal down the streets. He was moving so quickly the kindergarten kids couldn’t keep up!!! LOL!!!
The laptop will be travelling with us, so be watching for posts on our travels, and let’s hope the whole week starts right with a KC Chiefs win today!!!! Until next time, have a great day crafting, creating, and God Bless!!!
