I’ve always loved snow days. As a kid it was a treat to wake up and discover “no school” due to weather! And as a teacher, a snow day became an unscheduled vacation day where we were stuck at home, no one stopping by, no one leaving the house. Just a free day to catch up on reading or tv binging (which I really don’t do), throw in a nap to finish the day – it’s a good thing! And by early evening, you are already watching the school closing lists to see if you get a second snow day!
Of course now, with all of the technology and stuff, we have AMI days thrown in – alternative method of instruction. On those days there is work to do at home so the day can be counted for instructional purposes. I’m glad we didn’t have those AMI days back when I was kid and a teacher. Don’t mess with a good thing like a snow day!

Final Thoughts….
If you throw in 3 more home Chiefs games, the granddaughters’ Christmas program at school, AND the Christmas holiday also, the month is loaded. BUT as is the case with winter events, PLANS CAN CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER!!! This month, we will just go with the flow (or should we say SNOW?), roll with the weather, and what will be will be.
Take advantage of snow days to find time to craft, to create, to do whatever makes you happy, and God Bless!
