I was finally in the mood to be in my craft room the last couple of days to play. I was a total slug last week after our kids had been here for Christmas with reading and movies, but late afternoon Friday I made the slug get up and start working. Saturday I took stock of the DSP patterns left from the holiday paper, then started playing with more generic cards to help knock down the paper stash.
I ended up moving my Sympathy/Birthday card class to January, and later today I need to finalize all of my card event dates for January. A couple of other demos and I joined together for a great collection of Valentine cards using our coming Made With Love Suite and I took on the task of typing the tutorial. This is a great collection of easy and fun Valentine cards to share with your loved ones, and we will be offering the tutorial as an order incentive come January. More to come on this next week.

I made a card using this DSP and color combo early in December but yesterday I went back to the stamps and inks and went with the Autumn Trees stamp set instead. The greeting is one that is coming with the live Spring mini that will be a favorite to have on hand, and the DSP came from the Peaceful Garden DSP. Certainly not a “Christmassy” themed pattern! Always check those backsides of your DSP’s because usually one side is more useable for generic cards versus a theme such as the holidays!
It’s not showing well but I also used a blender pen to add some shading detail to the images. Did you know that you can simply pull out a blender pen and without adding any ink to the tip you can easily pick up ink from the stamped image for shading???? It’s a great way to add dimension and depth to your images!!
Final Thoughts….
Pool Boy and I did some cooking yesterday, getting rid of some stuff that needed to be used. Pool Boy is one for making the entrée of a meal but rarely makes dessert, while desserts are what I enjoy the most.

We combined our endeavors for his Mexican Lasagna and my Apple Crisp for Sunday night. Blue Bunny I believe was in charge of the vanilla ice cream!
I’ll be going live later this afternoon with a new fun fold for a New Year’s Eve card. Be sure to check me out on FB around 4:30 pm central. And I’ll be back Tuesday with the New Year’s Eve card AND the PDF for the measurements and directions. Until then, stay warm and safe, find some time to craft, to stamp, and create. God Bless!!!
