Valentine Bags For The Grands!

Our kids were born in the mid 1980’s – when electronics were just starting to be a thing. We had the Nintendo games and the Gameboy cartridges which introduced video games to our home. We survived the years of Cabbage Patch Kids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barbie dolls, and most importantly Ghostbusters. My Little Pony, Care Bears, and Beanie Babies were too many to count and resided in our kids’ bedrooms. We started with Duplo’s, grew into Legos, and tiny treasures such as Polly Pocket.

Megan’s Fisher Price kitchen was loaded with fake food, fake kitchen appliances, and dishes. When we pulled everything out for Nora’s 2nd birthday I’m not sure who was the most excited – Nora or her momma! Evan’s favorites were those Ghostbuster necessities such as the Proton Pack, the Ecto-1 vehicle, and I’m not sure the number of ghost traps we went thru. I know his Aunt Teri found some items on clearance and grabbed several things for him. Oh, and Mr. Stay Puff Marshmallow man!!!! I found one years later at an antique mall while he was in college. It was about 18 inches tall, and he was so excited that it went to the dorm with him after break. FYI – It’s still in one of the boy’s closets along with the duffle bag of Ghostbuster action figures and the firehouse equal to the size of a Barbie house! Calvin’s already worn his daddy’s Ghostbuster jumpsuit!

I grabbed some of the Made With Love DSP – starting to get tired of it guys! – and threw together these gift bags for the boys’ Valentine gifts. They’ve been wearing their Valentine outfits already, but these bags hold a couple of new books, some candy, and another little treasure.

I had a few little pieces of die cuts, then ran the large hearts and the white labels – this is a new label coming in March with the new Online Exclusives!!!

And as for the little treasures – Cal is always wanting to go on a bear hunt, so let’s send the boys home with a couple of their dad’s Beanie Baby bears from 30 years ago!!! Only another 45 to go!!!

Did any of your kids – or even yourself? – play with those toys??? We also had the giant collection of Pogs, but I have to say I saw no purpose in those, and when I came across them they went into the trash. Just sayin.
