A Bright, Cheery St. Pat’s Card!

For years I looked forward to St. Patrick’s Day so I could go buy a potted shamrock plant to have in our home. Our little Westlake’s store would get a few shamrocks, and you had to get there early to buy them cause their priority was tools, NOT so much houseplants. I’d bring my plant home and display it by some of my Irish decorations, and within a couple of weeks I discovered house plants were NOT my priority either. That poor little shamrock looked spindly and not very lucky to be living in our home.

I love planting containers outside and caring for them, and actually was a Master Gardener, but I can’t keep a plant alive in a house. I’m much better with paper shamrocks, 4 leaf clovers, and paper flowers than real plants and I stopped trying years ago.

Here’s a bright, cheery St. Patrick’s Day card using a simple z-fun fold for interest and variety. I’m on a roll with Lemon Lime Twist obviously, because I paired it here with Garden Green. Isn’t the Garden Green Chevron ribbon a nice touch??? I prefer to use thin ribbon and baker’s twine when designing. And I turned to that retired punch for the stamped image. I wasn’t full of blarney when I said that punch won’t leave my crafting arsenal!

We are offering TWO St. Patrick’s Day classes to help you get in the spirit!

The first class is a St. Pat’s card class – either in person on Monday, March 9 at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon, MO OR by mail.

• make 8 cards – 2 of 4 different designs!
• Card kits are free with a minimum purchase from Stampin’ Up!
• It’s OUR BIRTHDAY MONTH!!! (Pool Boy’s is March 6, I’m March 7) Free shipping on qualifying orders at the in person class!
• Free package of dimensionals for those participating by mail!
• Registration ends on Friday, March 6!

The second class is a product based class creating the St. Pat’s banner – either in person on Monday, March 9 OR by mail. Cost is $35 for the product and die cuts plus $7.50 for shipping:

• Three layers of banner die cuts, two sets of letters, along with the circles and I can also include the three 4 leaf clover punched images since the set is retired and not available.
• 1/2 package of the Turtle-ly Cute DSP – the striped sheet will be used to cut the banners for your kit
• 1 spool of the Shaded Spruce-Soft Sea Foam 1/2 inch ribbon
• 1 package of the Shades Of Green Hexagons
• You will need to use your supplies for stamping the Lemon Lime Twist banners and also the embossing folder work.
