I hope everyone had a joyous Easter yesterday! We went to Easter sunrise service at Long Branch Lake and even though it was cold, we enjoyed the beautiful blue skies, the calm lake, and the gorgeous sunrise. Later in the morning we took part in the traditional Easter service at church, and ended the day having dinner with our son and his family. Today Pool Boy is driving his mom home, and then it’s back to our normal weekly routine of therapy, stamping classes, church activities, and everyday life.

This week is Stamp ‘n Sip and we will be creating the insert above for our 6×12 frames. I still had quite a bit of the Easter Joy DSP, so I turned to my remaining pieces for designing. Since we have In Colors retiring the end of this month, I turned to Shy Shamrock, Peach Pie and Pretty In Pink as my starting point. Pool Party and Lemon Lolly were good additions to round out the color combo.

The background is a 6×12 piece of DSP from the Easter paper, as well as the letters for Spring Fling. I simply added adhesive sheets to the back of the striped DSP before cutting the letters.
Check out the grass and the little flowers above as well. With 10 small flowers on each frame, I needed a die that cut multiple flowers at once, and I found it in the Fragrant Layers die!!! That little die cuts 7 flowers at one time!!! PERFECT!!
And where did the grass blades come from???? If you look at the stamp set Springtime Scenes, you will find a stamp for some tall grasses/stems. By just stamping the top 1 inch of the stamp multiple times with 1st and 2nd generational stamping, we get the look of a spring yard BEFORE the mower has cut the blades to the same height.

I love the little basket with the daffodils, BUT if you really want to turn this into an Easter scene, simply tuck in the chocolate bunny. Pop him out after Easter is finished to continue to use your frame insert!
May-August Paper/Ribbon Shares Are Live!!!

We have some beautiful DSP patterns heading our way and the best way to experience the new DSP is taking part in a paper share!!! My shares give you 1/4 of every DSP found in the new catalog for a fraction of the cost. Receive 149 6×6 pieces of the DSP – packaged in individual re-sealable bags with product info labeled on each. For many people, a full package of DSP is simply too much, so getting a smaller amount of every paper is more helpful.
And there is also a ribbon choice as well! I prefer slim ribbons – 1/4 to 3/8 inches – and this share gives you 1/3 spool of each of the new In Colors which are the perfect width. I’m kind of like Goldilocks – some ribbon is too narrow, some is just too wide, but the new In Color ribbons are just right.

I’ll be back tomorrow with our next class opportunity centered around the new In Colors coming May. Until then, have a great day doing whatever you enjoy, find time to craft and create, and God Bless!
