Good morning everyone!!!! After a long morning yesterday of disembarking and picking up our rental car, Pool Boy and I moved onto Part 2 of our northwest adventure. Currently, we are in Packwood, WA about 2 1/2 hours from Seattle, and just outside of Mount Rainier National Park. The drive itself was beautiful, and the cabin I chose would be perfect for a full week of getting away. Unfortunately, we will only be here ’til Wednesday morning, then it’s on to part 3 of our vacation heading back to Seattle.
I spent quite the time searching for our VRBO unit, and this one was perfect for our needs and had high recommendations. One look at the cabin and the recommendations are spot on. Of course Pool Boy kept looking at me wondering where I was taking us deep in the valley, but he agrees it’s much better than the tiny cruise cabin we lived in the past week on the ship!
Every type of board game and puzzle you could possibly want is inside the cabin, and then the outside is equally equipped with yard games, hot tub, fire pit, etc. This would be a great place to bring kids!!! Unfortunately it’s cool and damp here so I don’t see myself going into the backyard while we are here.
And the neighbors appear super friendly!!!! LOL!!! We were heading to dinner when I spied this group and told Pool Boy he needed to turn around!! I’ve never seen a horse with a white rump quite like this, so he was tickled to see the small herd grazing in the field above!!! FYI – I have been known to turn us around for horses and cattle that I mistook as wildlife, so it could have been for nothing.
Today’s drive is into Mount Rainier National Park, which is an area we’ve never travelled to. Some of the roads are still closed with snow, so will be interesting to see where we go. I’ll take plenty of pictures!
Our first CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS IS COMING UP!!!! In person classes will be held on THURSDAY, June 25 at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon, MO. This class is also available by mail with emailed tutorial, and card kits will be mailed out on June 27. Both In Person and by Mail kits are free with a minimum order from Stampin’ Up!
