More Hot Foil Creations By Chris!

Other than an appointment later this morning, we’ve NOTHING on the calendar until next Tuesday!!! No more appointments, no commitments, no short trips — it’s an open three day weekend since Monday is totally free as well. OK – we do have church and I have to play, but after 50 years of doing so it’s just part of the routine. My work today is cutting card stock for the upcoming Christmas card class next Tuesday, then I’m playing with the Violet Dreams Suite for our next Pop Up Class! I love the DSP in this bundle and I’m looking forward to using it in a one-sheet wonder class as well as creating several cards and a sampler!!! I’m needing to switch out my fruit sampler for something different.

The cards above were created by Chris Howe for our FB group night on Wednesday. I love the Swiss Dots hot foil die, and there as several different looks you can create with the Flourish and Frames hot foil dies as well. The only thing to limit the possibilities is your creativity.

Here is another photo with other cards she created while playing with the Hot Foil System. Playing with our supplies is one of the best ways to spark your creativity! Sometimes it’s difficult to find the time to play, but using our supplies helps to build confidence and you just never know where it can lead to!

I shared this photo yesterday, but here’s the results Chris created with her hot foil playing. She wondered if the foil would adhere to the flocking in the Velvet Meadows DSP and it DOES!!!! People are posting photos of hot foil projects with linen bags, t-shirts, and every type of paper we have. You should see the poinsettias created by using the hot foil negatives to pieces of card stock then die cutting – the flowers are stunning, and no two alike. Those negative foil scraps have possibilities as well.

So, this weekend I hope to find some time for playing as well with my new products. It’s an open weekend, and once my cards are prepped today I’ve three days to play, create, and enjoy paper crafting. I hope you have some time as well to do whatever makes you happy!
