Good morning and happy Tuesday! This is a busy week with VBS at our church. Grandson Cal will be going with me daily for the fun and activities. Last I heard there will be over 65 children starting the week, and generally the number goes up as they bring friends with them. I was music director during the years our children attended, but now I help with the crafts – as a helper, not the leader!!!! So thankful we have young mothers and fathers who are able to fill those leadership positions now.
I believe this may well be my first post regarding the Product Of The Month – a promotion that Stampin’ Up! began several months ago. Each month they roll out a new, exclusive product that is available when you place an order for $75 or more. Products have included stamp sets, decorative series paper, and even a die. These products are available while supplies last, and you are only allowed 1 item, so you have no opportunity for a second package of DSP or stampset if you place another $75 order. It’s a good program, but one I’ve not promoted much because there is no telling how long the product will be available One month? 3 months?? Depends on the popularity of the product.

But this month I ordered the Begonia Belle exclusive stamp set on the first day. I love the distINKtive stamps that Stampin’ Up! create, with all of the added shading built in, and the two stamp images! This flower is beautiful and I’m planning to focus on the product for the week.

Can you get a good look at the embossing folder I used in the closeup???? Embossing folders were my first WOW moment with papercrafting, and I love an overall pattern such as the one above. This is a new folder coming in the Sept-Dec catalog called Softly Woven. I love the floral embossing folders such as the ferns and the sunflowers, BUT I mostly gravitate to the subtle overall backgrounds. Be sure to add the Softly Woven embossing folder to your list!
Word of caution though – overall patterns tend to stretch the card stock, so check your measurements after embossing! I forgot to do so, and with the adhesive already on the back of the embossed mat I was unable to trim, so you may have noticed my wonky margins.
Shelby the Canine Diva is heading to her spa day at the groomers so today’s post is short! I’ll have just enough time to run her there before picking up Cal, so have a great day today! Find time to craft, to create, and God Bless!
