I am not one that looks forward to the cold temperatures, the freezing wind chills, and the white stuff that falls. Yet, some of my favorite times of the year are wintry ones. Now that Pool Boy and I are retired and home, I can care less if the winter weather happens. We are tucked up safe in our home, the fire place goes most all day, and I like the early nights. It’s soup and stew time for dinner, a steaming cup of hot chocolate before bedtime, and my fuzzy electric blanket keeping me cozy and warm. And I forgot to add my Kindle with the remote control page turner so my hand stays warm under said blanket!
So it’s not a surprise that the Welcome Noel bundle made my wishlist from the Sept-Dec. catalog preorder. When I meet with our friends in St. Louis next weekend for the accountability group that’s the bundle I chose to display. My problem is I’m not as sold on the coordinating DSP, so I’m going to have to kick some ideas around to showcase it as well. For today’s card I turned to the Stitched Traditions DSP that had the wonderful Secret Sea pattern with the snowflakes.

This will be one of my favorite cards this year with the whole monochromatic theme going AND a fun fold to boot. For this card I simply used the stamp set, but there are coordinating dies that cut out both the stamped image, and also the house facades with the tiny windows cut out! Super cute!

There are no greetings included in the set, but you can pair it with any holiday greeting, which is what I did above by pulling a stamp from the Winter Adventures stamp set available in the Online Exclusives come September.

And for the the far left flap, I simply embossed a Secret Sea mat with the new Dreamy Snowflake Hybrid Embossing Folder available September 1. I’m looking forward to playing with all of the new products heading our way soon! AND be watching for the PAPER SHARES coming later this week!
Final Thoughts….
If you are still needing a copy of the September-December catalog please reach out! The card above will be one for the August Christmas Card class on Tuesday, August 18. This class is available both IN PERSON as well as BY MAIL. My traditional card classes are order-based, and the card kit of 8 cards – 2 of 4 designs – is free with a minimum purchase. Be sure to register no later than Friday, Aug. 14 so I have enough cards prepped.
Until then, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
