A Card, A Date Change, And A Couple More Items!

I have a long list of items on my to-do list for this week, and a productive day yesterday helped to lessen the work. I’m a firm believer in a to-do list! Some people have no problem keeping everything in their head that needs to be accomplished, but I find the physical list – either on paper, or on an app on my phone – helps to keep me more focused. I’ve a tendency to jump from one thing to another, so that silly list helps to keep me grounded and on task. Anyone else need those lists to get things accomplished?

This is a very busy week with Techniques #2, In Person Bingo, and the Momco event on Sunday-that I can’t attend so everything has to be very organized. Throw in three appointments, a trip to St. Louis to see Megan’s family for a soccer game, and a trip to KC for a Chiefs game, and whatever doesn’t get accomplished today is probably NOT going to happen!

Our goody bag for In Person Bingo on Thursday night is built around the Sunflower Fields DSP! This is such a beautiful DSP, and this floral piece is probably my favorite in the package – wish I had more than just two 12×12 pieces available. I’m down to a 6×6 inch piece of this pattern, so how to use it on a card as the focus, but NOT deplete my meager supply? No problem when you design a simple fun fold using a 2nd pattern as the basis of the card!

The color combo of Secret Sea, Golden Glow, and Pecan Pie is different, but it works with the floral pattern above. And, with only needing a 3×4 inch rectangle, I’ve still enough paper for two more cards using just a small portion of the pattern! It’s amazing how far you can stretch a small 6 inch square of paper.

For a different look I turned to the Sweet Words And Labels dies, and the greeting comes from the Radiant Sunflower stamp set. For embellishment I added the Golden Glow ribbon and the gold adhesive backed dots – and card is complete.

This card is one I designed for the additional card tutorial for those coming to bingo Thursday night. I have a collection of 6 cards that are easy to reproduce on their own using their goody bag of supplies – a full package of the Sunflower Fields DSP, a package of gold adhesive backed dots, AND some coordinating card stock as well! They will go home with both supplies, and card ideas!

Our Final Christmas Card Class – A Change Of Date!!!!

Our last Christmas Card class was scheduled for next week, but I need to change the date. Since work time is a commodity for this week with everything else added to the calendar, our final card class will be changed to TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27!!! Please make note of the change, and texts will be going out later this week!!!

Final Thoughts….

Just a reminder that all commissions for this month will be going towards the Hager family in our community. Joey was involved in a horrific accident on Labor Day, and is still currently in ICU. He has undergone multiple surgeries and is looking at an extended time of recuperating in a care facility. This young family has medical needs as well as infant care needs to address, so any order, any class participation, any game night or card event will help raise funds for them.
