I was in my happy place this weekend! After an incredibly busy week we spent time with our children and grandchildren – what could be better? Friday night we went out to dinner with Megan’s family at Paul Mano’s. I LOVE a round table when dining, and it was such a good time with food and family. Nora shared her experiences from the 3 day camping trip for her middle school class. From a girl who was anxious about this whole experience, she absolutely loved it. Somehow her best buds all ended up with her in the their cabin – they had no choice in the matter, wonder how that happened – so it was like a three day bunking party. From a teacher’s view point it sounded painful. 3 days – 72 hours straight with kids? I don’t think so!
And Fiona told us that three days as an only child was the best!!! She totally enjoyed having her parents to herself. We had a beautiful day for soccer, then a quick trip home after lunch. Dinner was at Evan’s house and time with his family. Those two boys are so much fun. They so full of energy and are going to keep Evan and Rachel on their toes in the years ahead.
Finally, yesterday was the best day ever for football. Great tailgating food with friends, a win for the Chiefs, and probably the best for me was watching Pool Boy through the whole weekend. He’s had a somewhat rough 6 weeks after a fall late August, but I feel like he’s bounced back well. He’s feeling better, he’s moving better, and just observing him I know he’s in a good place thankfully. That alone sealed my “happy place”.

Today’s card is my make and take from last week’s in-person bingo. Everyone received a full package of the Sunflower Fields DSP, the gold adhesive backed gems, along with several sheets of coordinating card stock. Later today I will be typing up the bonus tutorial and emailing out with additional card designs that attendees can use to recreate at home with their supplies. This DSP is so pretty – simply perfect for fall.
Final Thoughts……

Ok – the icing on my “happy place” cupcake is this photo! Pool Boy and I access our seats at Arrowhead Stadium through the club level elevators. I came up behind this man and whispered to Pool Boy if I was standing next to Trent Green. Pool Boy didn’t have a full view of the man’s face, so when he turned around a minute later, I asked him if people comment he looks like Trent Green (fyi – one of the favorite Chiefs’ quarterbacks from years ago). His response was “yes, cause that’s me!” He visited with us the entire elevator ride, he said “let’s take a picture” – I didn’t even have to ask! – and truly the icing on a great weekend!
Final note —— you may wonder why I share so much about my family and our activities, and there’s a reason. This website came about as my Christmas gift from Elda – Pool Boy’s mom. I know she reads it, so it’s a way for me to share family info, pictures, and for her to keep up with Pool Boy and our activities. This January will be 6 years since we started the whole website process. That’s lots of posts!!!! Thank you for following me!
