Pretty Poinsettia – One Of The Best Christmas Stamp Sets!

Last night our on group page, Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating with Pam and Lola I shared my favorite Christmas stamp set for this year. I don’t think anyone would have guessed it because most people probably skipped right over it.

That stamp set is Pretty Poinsettia! It has one of the best floral images that is so very realistic, along with lots of small filler stamps, AND three different holiday greetings that can cover all of your paper crafting needs. I love the die cuts as well, but truly just the stamp set is all you need.

For my color combo, I turned to Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Barely Blush. And by trimming my white card stock to 8×10.5 inches, I could stamp all 4 mats at one time! Using the large floral stamp, I added multiple images to form a cross on my white card stock.

I continued to fill in areas around the poinsettia with smaller images in the contrasting shades, leaving the 4 corners white. Once I had layered in all of the images, I cut the the 8×10.5 inch card stock info 4×5.25 mats. I could have turned these mats vertical or horizontal, with the open corner any direction! Add the chosen greeting from the stamp set, and you have four mats stamped at one time, and finished Christmas cards in 30 minutes tops!

Final Thoughts….

If you are an avid crafter you LOVE die cuts added to your creations, but truly they are not necessary. Just stamps, ink, and paper create beautiful cards, and this one stamp set can be used over and over – the only limits are your creativity and imagination!

We’ve a wedding this weekend to attend, as well as dinner with friends Sunday night before the Chiefs’ game. I’ll finish prepping the Christmas cards later today, then I turn to prepping for Speed Bingo. That leaves typing two tutorials, mailing out card kits, and finishing my swaps for the Italy group. The trip is quickly approaching, the anxiety is starting to rise along with the anticipation and excitement. I’ve a game plan with my packing but that’s not going to happen until after Wednesday night since the grandsons have another sleepover at Nana and Papa’s house.

That leaves Thursday and Friday for me to pack. For a person who puts off packing as late as possible, I will have PLENTY of time to gather, pack, and regroup before flying out Saturday afternoon. Have a great weekend, find time to do some simple stamping and creating, and God Bless!
