Party Banner Dies For Halloween!

Ok – keep teachers in your prayers this week, because it’s going to be challenging!!! This week is like the “trifecta of madness” for educators. First, it’s the week of Halloween which is bad enough. Everyone is so excited and most schools will be hosting their Fall Harvest parties, but it is also Red Ribbon Week for Drug Awareness. I guarantee every elementary counselor has daily themed dress up days for the students which will just add to the madness and excitement. And the icing on the cake – it’s a FULL MOON!

You may not subscribe to the whole “full moon brings out the crazies”, but educators and nurses all believe! If you were to work in these professions you just know that it’s “all hands on deck” during those lunar situations, and when it’s compounded with daily dress up days and Halloween, you just well be prepared to ride out the storm with no major teaching and testing cause there will be little educational value happening. Luckily, Halloween happens on a Saturday so by next Monday the excitement will be pretty much over, the candy chomping will be about over as well, and classroom life will return to “normal”. But until then, just hang on for the bumpy ride!

I am down to just scraps from my Halloween DSP packages, but I was still able to run this fun banner for Halloween! The DSP was used for the letters as well as the large orange banners and the smallest ones. I added a basic black banner between the DSP banners, then added a few ghosts, bats, and additional trees.

The little die cuts are cute, but I also enjoyed just the banner and letters. It’s not always necessary to deck it out with additional products. To be truthful, I’ve had the banner up since Oct. 1 WITHOUT the ghosts and bats, and I liked it plain. But this morning I added some of the Halloween festive dies for today’s post and my favorite part – the striped letters!!!

Final Order Week Before I Leave For Italy

Tonight is our Online Speed Bingo, and tomorrow is the last Christmas Card class for 2026. The final order of October will be placed TUESDAY NIGHT so if you have gift certificates to use from the In Person Bingo please let me know your order. This is also the final week for commissions to go towards the Hager family here in our community. Joey was involved in a serious accident over Labor Day weekend, and he still remains in the hospital. This young family has endured much, and he has an extensive rehab ahead. Thank you for your support this month through card classes, clubs and events such as the two bingo nights. Several have also included monetary donations above their orders, and we are over $1,000 in funds raised.

I’ll be back tomorrow to share another project, and until next time God Bless!
