Day three of our Christmas Cards continue, and for August we had NEW Christmas products to use!!!! In fact, ONLY one of the cards above has paper from A Stitched Tradition DSP package and it’s the one in the middle with the winter scene of homes and trees. We added new DSP packages with A Little Christmas and Timeless Christmas as well. I love the little gingerbread guy along with the giant peppermint candy dies. But without a doubt my favorite is the Everyday Arches dies to highlight the beautiful Nativity stamp found in the stamp set Rejoice. The images are stunning, they stamp beautifully, and in today’s card I used Night Of Navy with Smoky Slate. And this is the first time we added the Softly Woven embossing folder to our cards as well!
Italy – Day 4 – Arrivederci to Rome!
The three days in Rome were added to the original Italy trip that officially begins today. There were several in our tour that added these three days, such as my Stampin’ Up! friend Tina Barela and her husband Ben. They are from Colorado and are big fans of that Denver football team I will not name and of course, the Chiefs played them on our first day in Rome, so one of us was probably talking smack about the other team. Hopefully by today that’s out of our system!
The rest of our group arrive in Florence this morning and will meet us at tonight’s location. We will be transported by bus from Rome to Montecatini Terme that is in the heart of Tuscany. This will be such a great experience, because we stay at the hotel ALL 7 DAYS OF OUR TOUR!!! No packing your suitcase and sitting it outside your room at night so it’s loaded onto the bus for the next location!! Each day we have short drives to our tour destinations, be we will return to the same hotel every night. That may not seem like a big thing, but once you’ve done the whole moving nightly, this will certainly be a luxury.
Today we have time on our own to view the city independently. One thing they recommend is to take the funicular railway to Montecatini Alto, a historic village overlooking our hotel. This funicular has been going since the late 1890’s – with modernized technology now – and will be a fun way to travel between the two villages – a 10 minute ride one way!
Keep stamping and crafting my friends, and God Bless!
