Good morning everyone!!! I hope you enjoyed my revisiting the annual catalog last week, and I’m planning on doing that again the first of April, but with this the week of Stampin’ Up’s OnStage in Houston I’ll be posting and sharing some cards we received from friends for our birthdays. First one up – AND one I will be sharing later today on my FB LIVE as well as the PDF tomorrow – is a card Pool Boy received from our friend Tena Levett.
Tena’s Fish Card For Pool Boy’s Birthday!
Tena sent this fun fold card to Pool Boy, and I begin studying and measuring it because I’ve been seeing this fun fold but had yet to try! Yesterday I was working on an Easter sampler for church, and didn’t quite like one of the squares, so with paper snips in hand, I cut the Easter lilies off by snipping through the dimensionals, removed all of the adhesive, and turned the Easter lily into an Easter card using Tena’s fun fold card as a guide!
Easter Lilies – A Beautiful Bundle To Celebrate The Holiday!
The pieces of the Easter lily were all heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then I simply sponged some Lemon Lolly in the center of the bloom, then colored in the stems and leaves with Granny Apple Green blends. The stamens of the lily were diecut with gold foil, and I used the Glorious Gingham DSP with the Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lolly mats.

The interesting part of this fun fold card is how it opens! Not at all what you expect!!! It made an impression on Pool Boy cause he commented I needed to try this fun fold. High praise indeed!
Final Thoughts….
Today’s work is all about packaging and mailing. The Speed Bingo prizes and the Anniversary drawings came in on Friday afternoon, so I’m repacking and shipping out tomorrow morning with the mail. Since we are having an early lunch with a dear friend visiting from Alabama today, I rescheduled my FB LIVE to 4:30 pm central where I will demonstrate the Easter lily card.
I will be sharing the other beautiful cards we received throughout the coming week, AND abit of our travel journeys including pics from OnStage. I’m hoping we receive a copy of the new annual catalog coming, as well seeing the new products coming our way, and some other news in the paper crafting world.
What will Pool Boy be doing during the time I’m at OnStage??? He’ll be kicking back and relaxing in the hotel, and figuring out where we are eating daily. That’s the compromise – he will take me wherever I want to go as long as he chooses where we eat. Works for us!!!! Until tomorrow, have a great Monday and God Bless!!!!
