A Fun Night At Stamp ‘n Sip!!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to Wednesday!!! We’ve another busy day ahead with an afternoon class to set up for, so no time for my musings – we have to get to work!

For our June project at Stamp ‘n Sip we created this bright and beautiful banner to display in your home. Not a single stamp or ink pad was used in this project – it is all die cuts and embossing, focusing on the Round We Go dies along with the Party Banners and Alphabet dies! A project like this is a great way to use your old DSP scraps too. Disregard the images on the DSP because what you are needing are the colors. I used candy cane paper and the star background from the retired Bethlehem DSP, etc. With as small and detailed the diecut it will not matter the images on the DSP – you are simply looking for the colors red, white, and blue!

You may need to look sideways to see the full effect, but here is the full banner! It is large enough to go across a fireplace mantle or you can space it out to go across a doorway header.

These gals gather monthly for an early dinner at a local Italian restaurant, then we head across the street to a community building owned by my stampin’ sidekick Pam Cosby to create and chat. The creativity is important, but even more so is the commraderie, the friendship, and the connections built over the years together.

We will be creating a series of these banners, so be watching for more details in the coming weeks. Go back and take a look at the two die sets – the Party Banners and Party Letters. Yes, they are pricey, but you get 14 different banner sizes and the alphabet comes with 36 dies, not just 24. If you enjoy decorating, these dies will be useful for years to come – showers, birthday parties, holiday and seasonal decorating, etc.

Personally, as a retired teacher I can see them useful in a classroom decor. Bulletin boards come to mind as well as displays for job assignments, reward displays, etc.

Dang, that’s one thing I don’t miss – bulletin boards!!! Yuck. Least favorite thing to do as a teacher!
