We’ve set our In Person Bingo for Thursday, Jan. 15 and we chose the Cute As A Bug DSP as part of our goody bag. Rarely do I go for the cutesy products, but this is such a cute package of paper!!! And the ladybug embellishments – oh my. Our grandson Cal loves nature, bugs and such, so with his 3rd birthday coming this month I’m planning on using this suite for his card.
He loves his binoculars from Christmas, so I ordered an insect catcher set, bug books, and an outdoor nature explorer hat and vest as part of his gift. He will love it! Melissa and Dave have a campfire/smores play set too, so somehow that jumped into my shopping cart as well! A couple of cute spring outfits and he will be set to go for his birthday!
I struggle though to use DSP pages such as the one above. Every so often we get a page like this, and more times than not I use the other side – CAUSE I’m not sure what to do with it!!! This week I plan to design around those small and large rectangles, and to make the most of this page. I’ll be starting later today with my FB live. We are revamping our Blessing Card Ministry at church for 2026, and I decided we needed a nice wooden box for displaying cards. I reached out to one of our members who enjoys wood working to see if he could come up with something to service the purpose. Now, I was thinking having it ready to go by mid February, but instead just days later this showed up for church! Isn’t it great?!?! These cards are free to our church members, and we have several ladies in our church that will help keep the box in stock with a fresh card designs.
That meant I needed the perfect gift card to thank him for his help! What better stamp set to turn to than Trusty Tools??? The DSP is from Country Woods, and I simply stamped the tools with Memento, then turned to the blends to add color. Tomorrow I need to pick up a gift card for him from our local hardware store, then mission accomplished.
