I love seeing all of the “first day of school” pictures posted on Facebook. The excitement on the faces, the new clothes, new shoes, new backpacks – just a fun way to start the year on a positive note. Several of our friends even had pictures of their COLLEGE kids first day as well! Sending prayers for a great start for all students, a year full of learning and growth, and prayers of safe keeping for students and faculty as well.

Megan sent this picture yesterday before they walked the girls to school. Nora is in her final year at the elementary as a 5th grader, and Fiona moves up to 2nd grade. She told me this summer she didn’t know why she had to go to school, cause she worked hard last year and met her goals. I didn’t have the heart to tell her there are many more goals ahead before she’s finished. You pick you battles, and that was hill I was not ready to die on by arguing with her.
Stampin’ Up Changes Heading Our Way – NO More Red Rubber!
I was planning to post yesterday’s FB Live and PDF, but with the announcements we received in our Stampin’ Up Current Updates I felt it best to change focus today.
Due to challenges Stampin’ Up is dealing with regarding the raw materials to manufacture our cling stamps (the ones with the red rubber), they will begin phasing out these materials and going only to the photopolymer ones. This switch will take place over the next several months with the Holiday mini catalog being the last catalog with red rubber stamps. They hope to have made the full transistion by the 2026 Annual catalog.
Phasing Out The Write Markers!
Next to be discontinued are the Stampin’ Write Markers. With the growing popularity of Stampin’ Blends, there’s been a steady decline in sales of Stampin’ Write Markers. One of the primary techniques unique to Stampin’ Write Markers is coloring directly on cling stamps—a technique that will become less relevant as we transition away from cling. This will be a QUICK transistion, with all Write Markers moving to the Last Chance list on August 20, while supplies last! If you are in need of any markers, plan ahead!
Final Change — NEW Packaging For Stamps and Dies!
As part of our transition away from cling stamps, Stampin’ Up is introducing updated packaging for stamps and dies! Because photopolymer stamps are thinner, we’re able to offer sleeker, slimmer packaging that saves space. Both stamps and dies will now come in the same size and style of packaging, making it easier than ever to store bundles and coordinating products together. The new packaging is similar to our current die packaging—durable, clear plastic envelopes—but with an exciting improvement: Die packaging will now feature printed artwork for quick and easy identification! Stamp packaging will continue to display artwork as well.

This will be done by phasing out the old package, replaced with the new one as orders are filled. In other words, a popular stamp set may transistion to the new packaging faster then others, so no idea when you will see the new packaging showing up in your orders.
Final Thoughts…
Change is inevitable. Whether heading back to school with a new teacher, classroom and procedures, the daily changes in our life, OR the product changes in our hobbies – every thing changes eventually. And with those changes we either have to adapt and roll with the punches or get frustrated and upset.
I’m willing to give these changes a try and I hope you are as well. As with Fiona, we pick our battles! Here is hoping you have a great day enjoying what you love, and God Bless!
