As I write this message early Thanksgiving morning, our house is slowly coming to life. Megan has begun her homemade rolls – but coffee first! – Pool Boy is chopping the onions we forgot yesterday, and Fiona has rolled out of bed and rolled into a blanket to watch cartoons. The turkey is in the oven, and we are ready for the final couple of hours of cooking. There are still a couple of sleepers in the house, but by mid morning the house will be bursting with the arrival of Evan’s family. It will be chaotic and noisy but we will treasure every minute.
I am so very thankful for these blessings – family, home, food, and health. I pray that each of you have many things to be thankful for as well. May you have a blessed holiday, however you celebrate, and know that today I also give thanks for each of you.
