Ink, Card Stock And Saran Wrap!!

Growing up my mom had a love-hate relationship with plastic wrap. She was ALL about aluminum foil (and don’t think about coming home with any off brand if she sent you to store to buy a package. It HAD to be Reynolds Wrap!) We had it in the regular weight, the heavy duty size, the extra wide size – she had it! But plastic wrap was a whole other ball of wax. Or should I say ball of plastic?? She struggled with tearing it, then it got stuck together while she was trying to tear it, then it wouldn’t stick to the pyrex bowl or dish she wanted to cover, and the worst of all – the end stuck to the roll and you had to work at getting it started so you could fight it again. A vicious plastic circle. More times than not she turned to her trusty Reynolds Wrap to save the day.

I turned to the roll of saran wrap/cling wrap today to share how to use the saran wrap technique in paper crafting. And since I’m working with the patriotic theme this week, I turned to the colors Real Red and Blueberry Bushel for stamping!!!

Isn’t this a striking background for the giant USA letters????? And completely made with saran wrap. No mess, no ink on fingers! Simply pounce the saran wrap on the Basic White mat, then toss in the trash. I added the background to the envelope flap at the same time.

I’m also loving these huge alphabet dies as well as the Party Banner dies that are now available in our 2025 Annual Catalog. They are pricey but there are so many uses for them, especially if you are a party person who loves to decorate. These banners and letters can be used in decorations, holiday decor, scrapbooking, and yes, even cardmaking.

Final Thoughts….

Pool Boy shared his walleye bounty with a couple of good friends at church yesterday, and one of them returned the favor with a container of maple-pecan scones fresh out of the oven! We are slowly working our way through these delicious goodies. It’s a double win for me, since fried fish is just ok for me, so less fish to fry and a sweet treat delivered! Score!
