Hey friends!!! Although I had an early start to the travel day, we arrived at the Red Rock Resort around 1pm, so plenty of time to rest before the evening events began. Pictured above are my friends Tina Barela from Colorado and Bonnie Alexander from Illinois. Poor Bonnie on the other hand arrived frazzled after a flight delayed of 2 hours. We had dinner reservations with Karin Braxton and her sister at 5:15pm, and Bonnie came zooming in the hotel from the cab at 5:17. No time to go to the room, so straight to dinner we went.
After dinner we had a small group gathering arranged by Emily Kimmey with a card swap and business discussion, then right into Stampin’ Up’s group stamping night. FYI – we hung for the drinks and dessert then headed back to the room. The group I travelled with were very fortunate to have no travel issues, but still a long day and we were beat.
Today we have our opening gathering with aprx. 500 leaders. This truly is all business related, so we won’t see the new mini catalog or stamping demonstrations. The focus is on best practices and business training as we move into the Stampin’ Up year which runs from Oct. through Sept.
Funny thing – while a gal was taking the picture above with my phone, Pool Boy Jim text to tell me he was heading to bed. Of course she read it out loud, so immediately after the photo I gave him a call and everyone was calling “night Jim Boy”. He thought we were cackling like we were heading to Chippendales. Pool Boy has a warped sense of humor!
