Good morning and welcome to Hump Day! Seems like we just arrived in Destin, yet we’ve only two more days after today, then we head home. We’ve been focusing on using our paper crafting to lift others, and what better way than having a food collection for our local pantry AND BINGO for the new annual catalog at the same time???
With every new catalog we have an evening of BINGO – with a goody bag of new DSP/coordinating card stock, make and takes, prizes, and beginning last year, sketch displays! You know, those little line drawings in the catalog showing easy layouts for cards???
Join us IN PERSON on Tuesday, May 20 at 6 pm at Zion Lutheran Church for a fun craft night AND participate in our food collection for our food pantry as well!!! Cost is $25 and participation in the food pantry is voluntary, but this is an easy way to support a worthy organization in our community that is so very needed. Our local food pantry is serving more families each year as they struggle to make ends meet, and every item collected is appreciated!!!
This photo is from our Bingo night in the fall of ’24 – how easy is it to park a car at the entrance for those participating, then hand them a raffle ticket for each item contributed? Afterwards, the collection was delivered straight to the food pantry to unload! Such an EASY way to support our Macon County Ministries Food Pantry!!!
Our daughter Megan takes her girls to help at the food bank in St. Louis several times a year. They are raising the girls in the spirit of volunteering and serving others in their community. They had so much fun helping work the assembly line that day. This summer they are signed up to work at the humane society for a full week – can you imagine a full week of hugging and petting animals? It will be the favorite summer camp week of all!
