Good morning everyone!!!! So today’s post comes to us from a swap received while attended the Disney incentive trip last May. Swapping is a popular thing with stampers at conventions, retreats, and large events. The idea is to make multiples of the same card, then swap your card with someone else so you go home with a variety of card ideas. Some people want to make the same card they received, others simply use the cards to share with their stamping friends for ideas. I go through the swapped cards looking for ideas I can use to recreate a different card – no need to make the exact card! Take the layout, the fun fold, the technique and use to create a card with the materials you have.
So when I’m a bit stymied due to a creativity block, I turn to my most recent swap bag to search for a layout or an idea to help. The ornament Pam used in our FB LIVE last night came straight from a swap received last spring – and I knew it was right up Pam’s alley.

Aren’t these beautiful? Last night on our group page – Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating With Pam and Lola – Pam shared how to recreate, and enlarge these 3D ornaments. The one she had to work with was much smaller but with a bit of work she was able to double the size.
Did you miss the Live, or are you not a member of our crafting group? No problem – click on the link below and request to join us. Perfect we are not, so if you like videos edited with perfection you might not want to join us! But we have fun when we gather and it’s ok to learn from each other’s mistakes!!!

Final Thoughts…..
Tonight’s my final event of the week with the MomCo group. Pam graciously helped me last night after the video with prep work thankfully. That means tomorrow I can finally work on my swaps for the trip to Back Stage in Las Vegas, then on to St. George, Utah for Ronda Wade’s retreat. If I don’t have everything completed, I’ll simply box everything up in my suitcase, then assemble in the hotel. Every Stampin’ Up event I’ve been to crafters are gathered in the lobbies working on swaps!!! One of the gals is kind of known as the Swap Queen because she brings hundreds of cards to exchange and swap with others. But that means she goes home with hundreds of ideas to get her through til the next event!!!!
Heck, I’ll be lucky to have my 60 cards ready!!! Until next time, keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless!!
