Sharing The Love This Valentine’s Day!

Hooray – it’s FRIDAY!!! It looks like a huge portion of our country is under weather issues, whether advisory, watch or warning. Pool Boy is heading to pick up his mom today for the weekend and it looks like we are probably just getting 2-3 inches of snow so he should be fine. If you aren’t dealing with snow it’s also the frigid temps and wind chills as well, so this weekend is probably best for reading, crafting, jigsaw puzzles, and watching football! Main thing – just stay home!!!

I really love the Made With Love Suite from our Spring Mini Catalog. I love the patterns and colors in the DSP package, as well as the variety of dies and stamps in the Endless Love bundle. So these products are going to be what I turn to for my next service project!

We are very fortunate to have the local hospital in our community, and I’m so thankful they have the facilities for Pool Boy to use for his cardiac rehab, then being able to continue as a wellness program. This past fall I spent many an hour in the Physical Therapy department that is top notch as well, so we are going to “Share The Love” with our medical staff for Valentine’s Day!

We will be creating sweet Valentine cards like the ones above to share with the staff so they can take home to share with their loved ones. I turned to our notecards/envelopes packages and all of my Valentine scraps, card stock, and greetings are used to embellish. Some will have ribbon, some will not. Some will be vertical, some will be horizontal, but all will be made with love and appreciation for their service to the community.

I’m hoping that at least 80% of the staff will stop by to pick up a card (the teacher in me needs a specific, measurable goal to evaluate our success!) so we will be churning out dies, cutting paper, and gearing up to share the love with others.

Have you thought how you could share the love with others through your paper crafting???? Maybe make Valentine’s for a local nursing home? How about making some cards and delivering to your favorite postmen so they have cards for their loved ones. Or how about your neighbors???? Just a note to let them know you appreciate and are thankful to have them around! Take some time this weekend – most of us are gonna be snowbound anyways! – and think about how you can share the love.
