Well, we survived last week’s tummy bug, made it to the girls’ Christmas program, only to come down with laryngitis! I’m so ready for the holiday bugs to disappear!!! And you might have been confused about my posts on Thursday. BEFORE we left for St. Louis I wrote up Thursday’s AND Friday’s posts, but forgot to schedule them for different days, so you got both posts on Thursday. Minor in the grand scheme of things though, right??

Here are our girls – Fiona is in 2nd grade, and Nora is in 5th grade. Hard to believe this is her final year of elementary. The program was wonderful with excellent music, students were well rehearsed, and I kept any negative opinions to just Pool Boy who ignored me, so minor in the grand scheme of things!
My Christmas Gifts From Tena!

For several years now, I’ve received a desk calendar crafted by my friend Tena Levett, along with several other treats. These calendars are free standing for your desk area, and include a pocket for post it notes and a cute pen that’s always handy. I am so appreciative of these calendars because they are usable all year long!!! Other little gifts include a pocket sleeve for post it tabs, a treat box for tic tacs, and a cute shovel for mints. AND then you get to the framed piece!!!
If you follow my blog you know I love framed home decor, and especially ones to give as gifts. Tena’s silver dove is beautiful and something that is easy to display throughout the house. But most of all, I know she put her talents and love into creating these gifts for friends, and that means the most.
Thank you Tena for thinking of me and sharing your paper crafting talents!!!! Love ya sister!!!
Final Thoughts…..
We are celebrating Christmas early this year since we rotate with the in laws for the actual holiday, so that means gifts have to be wrapped this week!! We also have some cooking to do as well, and now that I’m feeling better the Christmas cards need to be addressed and mailed. But I planned for this being the Christmas prep week weeks ago, so it will all get accomplished.
I finally made it into my craft room today – I’ve did nothing last week! – and spent time working with one of the new suites heading our way, so be prepared to see some spring stuff popping up on the blog in the next couple of weeks. I’ll be back Tuesday with info for the January Paper Pumpkin kit heading our way, so here’s hoping you are getting ready for the Christmas holiday and if you need some last minute gifts, remember homemade gifts truly are gifts from the heart. Keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
