It seems I’m covering all of the holidays this week. Today I’ll be working at the church with the ladies helping to create the 30 samplers for our older congregational members, then heading to set up for Stamp ‘n Sip where we will put together our fall samplers. I’m going to consider that the Thanksgiving part of crafting. Wednesday I will be prepping for the Halloween class happening on Thursday, so there’s the Spooky Trick or Treat celebration, BUT in a week we have our last Christmas card class so I’m designing our last Christmas cards! Covering all three celebrations this week!

I had yet to use the Woodland Scenery stamp set available in our Holiday mini catalog. I love stamp sets like this little jewel. You have all of these little stamps that you can use over and over creating so many different scenes! You are simply limited by your imagination. And I loved the two greetings used on the front of the card. These came from the stamp set Snowy Delights.
For my color combo, I turned to the DSP package. The Peaceful Garden DSP includes Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, Pecan Pie, and Basic White and I used these inks to create the snow scene on the 3 inch white mat. For such a small piece of paper you can build a full scene with these little stamps! FYI – those are logs on the sled. When I was stamping I had my glasses off and at first I thought “aw, look at the trio of little kids!” I knew I was wrong when I popped the glasses back on, but if you look at the top log it looks like a little round face with a wonky smile! Just saying!

Final Thoughts….
I’ve have a busy two weeks to start off October, knowing that Pool Boy and I will be heading towards Maine the third week. We hope to enjoy the beautiful fall folliage of New England, while we head from Portland, Maine to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It’s been probably 25 years since we had our first experience of Maine and I’m looking forward to seeing it again. (Technically, we did visit Portland, Maine last year while we were on our cruise from Quebec, but since the fall folliage was just starting to turn AND we didn’t get a lobster roll, I’m not counting that as the full experience!)
We have four days in Maine, and I’m hoping to make it a lobsterfest each day. I’m thinking lobster roll with “buttah” – NOT mayo, another day lobster grilled cheese, a third day lobster mac and cheese. That leaves me one meal to repeat! Pool Boy will take one bite of my entree, then select scallops or fish and chips. The lobster thing is kind of wasted on him!!! LOL!!
Here’s hoping you have a great day and find some time to create, to craft, and God Bless!!!
