Ok, this is just a wow! Chris Howe shared how to stamp on air-dry clay last night on our group page, and it was so cool!!! Our church is having a craft sale the first Sunday of November, and Chris was trying to come up with an idea using our Stampin’ Up supplies to create items for the sale. She hit on the idea of stamping clay for easy pottery ornaments and dishes and away she went!

Having never done this before, she played with numerous techniques. She stamped with embossing folders, stamped with red rubber stamps uninked AND also inked, added color with the water painters and also added color to the clay. Each of these ideas created different results! Once each piece is air-dried, she will finish off with a clear polish to seal the pieces for future use.

Can you recognize any of the Stampin’ Up products used??? Each piece is unique and different!

Using cookie cutters for the shapes, Chris spent almost an hour playing with different coloring combos to create these pieces. She plans to take a tree to the craft sale for displaying the Christmas ornaments. These two pieces show how well the embossing folders and stamps work, giving you the added detail to each piece. The color made each piece pop with detail!
Did you miss our FB LIVE last night??? Not a problem, you can watch it at the link below anytime in the next 30 days!!! I’ll be uploading to my YouTube channel later this week, and will post that as well.

Final Thoughts….
I’ve a couple more projects to share with our focus on “Anything But A Card” week, and I hope you will check out the pottery ideas and tips that Chris shared. I’ll post a pic of some of the completed pieces after she seals them with glaze.
Paper crafting is still my favorite part of Stampin’ Up products, BUT there are so many other ways to use our supplies to create. Just think of all of the products shes used last night:
- embossing folders
- large red rubber stampsfore
- background stamps
- water painters
- ink pads and re-inkers
We are making tentative plans to use these ideas with a kids craft day before Christmas! I know Pam’s grands and mine will enjoy creating and playing with the clay and all of the techniques Chris shared! Until next time, have a great day, find time to create and craft, and God Bless!
