Good morning and welcome to that unofficial day known as “Hump Day!” I remember starting the school week on Monday thinking how far away the weekend was. But when Wednesday arrived it felt like the weekend was just around the corner and it was downhill to get there. NOW I’m retired, I have to think what day it even is cause they all seem the same!! LOL!!! As for the actual calendar day I’m thankful that my phone shows the date on the screen so I can check. When you are not writing dates on lessonplans and paperwork daily that get’s tricky as well. Nice problems to have due to retirement!
Saying Good Bye To Retiring Color Pacific Point!
Today is my Technique club and I wanted to share a technique I saw Patty Bennett at Patty Stamps use. I HIGHLY recommend you go and check out her video on this technique because it is SO EASY but gives you such interesting watercolored images using tablesalt!!!! See all of the speckles in the background mat???? SALT!!!!! So cool!!!
I used Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay, and Pacific Point to create these stunning mats before shaking salt on them. You simply dust off the remaining salt residue when the mat is dry, then go create!!! I also used my collection of ink spots from Paper Pumpkin on a flat protected surface versus using my ink pads so colors do not intermix on my pads.

Final Thoughts…..
We are gearing up for the family to arrive Friday night to enjoy Easter weekend. The girls will love having the traditional Easter egg hunt, but with Baby Cal now in the family I want him (with mom and dad’s help since he’s not 3 months old yet!) to have treats as well. I went to Wally World and bought teethers, socks, etc. to tie in pretty cellophane bags with ribbon and they will be hidden as well. The girls will have fun pointing those out so all in all, should be a fun time. Until tomorrow, keep crafting, keep stamping, CHECK OUT PATTY STAMPS and God Bless!!!
