We have had a busy 2 days with our Spring Retreat occurring, and the remaining work is sitting on my dining room table – putting everything away!!! That is one of the goals for today, as well as finishing up all of the prep work for the Easter samplers that will be gifted to our senior church members this coming week. So I’ve three goals – put everything away, finish up Easter Sampler prep, and take a NAP!!!! LOL!
With the arrival of the new annual catalog coming in May, it’s time to begin looking at what we have in our craft arsenal, what items are retiring that we still want, and what items will be remaining but with a new price point.
First of all, if you love the 2022-24 In Colors leaving, NOW IS THE TIME to load up on your favorites. Do you have a package of the cardstock? Is your ink pad in good shape, and do you have the ink refill????? Are your blends in good shape or do you need to replace them????
Next, you need to focus on the items that make up your staples – your cardstocks, your adhesives, envelopes, etc. – the things you use all of the time. Many of these items are returning with price increases that go into effect the first of May. WHY wait to buy them with the higher prices?????? I will begin taking inventory and stocking up in April because every little bit helps save money!
So What Items ARE Increasing In Price?????
Listed below are the items that will be effected price-wise with the arrival of the new Annual Catalog:
- Ink refills – price will be $5.50 (an increase of 50 cents)
- Stazon Ink – price will be $10.50 (an increase of 50 cents)
- Stazon Ink REFILL – price will be $7.50 (an increase of 50 cents)
- Memento Ink – price will be $8 (an increase of $1.50)
- Memento Ink REFILL – price will be $6.50 (an increase of $1)
- Stampin’ Blend Color Combos – price will be $11 (an increase of $1)
- Watercolor Pencils Asst. 1 – price will be $18 (an increase of $2)
- Watercolor Pencils Asst. 2 – price will be $14 (an increase of $1.50)
- Blender Pens – price will be $14 (an increase of $1)
- Tombow Liquid Glue – price will be $6 (an increase of 50 cents)
- Glue Dots – price will be $7.25 (an increase of $2)
- Stamping Cut and Emboss Machine – price will be $130 (an increase of $2)
- Cutting Plates – regular size – price will be $14 (an increase of $1)
- MINI cutting plates – price will be $9 (an increase of $1.50)
- Very Vanilla and Basic White Cardstock – 8.5 x 11 – price will be $13 (an increase of $1.50)
- ALL 8.5 x 11 Cardstock – price will be $11.50 (an increase of $1.50)
- 8.5 x 11 Cardstock Assortment – price will be $11.50 (an increase of $1.50)
- 12 x 12 cardstock – price will be $15 (an increase of $1.50)
Final Thoughts….
As I was typing that list I was also making a mental checklist of items to add to my orders in the next few weeks. I’m in good shape with the In Colors leaving, BUT I go thru large amounts of adhesive and cardstock, and I always keep a couple of cutting plate packages on hands to replace mine from excessive use – that’s about every 2 months. Memento is my go-to black ink so I will be buying 2-3 bottles of the ink refill, and I will be checking over and replacing Stampin’ blend combos from heavy use this year with classes. I TRY to purchase 3 sets of each color as they are introduced, but I’m not good at catching all of the ones needed to be pitched and replaced.
Take the time ahead to inventory and replace what you can before the prices change. I do not know a single person who would rather WAIT until they pay more money for an item!!!! DUH!!! Until then, have a great remainder of the weekend and an awesome start to next week, and God Bless!!!
