Garage sales are alot of work, aren’t they? You gather all of the stuff you no longer want, you have to price it, hang it, fold it — whatever works for your set up. You look at the pile of stuff you want gone, and then wonder will anyone show up? Only to raise the garage door to find people standing outside waiting for you to open! And if you aren’t careful by roping off the parts of your garage NOT for sale, they will be looking at your shelves, your tools, and anything else visible!
Usually the best sales happen the first couple of hours, then customers dwindle. Sales slack off, and someone wants to quibble over the 25 cents you have a shirt – will you take a dime???? OMG!! And if you are lucky you will have a local business like a Sheltered Workshop or thrift store that will come and pick up your leftovers.
Truly though, the old saying of “one man’s trash is another one’s treasures” holds true. What appeals to one person may well not appeal to another. That’s where today’s card comes into play!

I designed this card for the Patriotic class as a revamp of a card I found on Pinterest. I was looking at the floral dies we have currently and this one from the Impressions Abloom bundle came to mind. I put the card together, wasn’t sure I liked it, sent the picture to a couple of friends expecting them to suggest what’s wrong with it, and the reply was “we like it, don’t touch it.” Really????
Turns out several people at the card class said it was their favorite one!!! And here I was ready to trash and start over! It’s that whole trash/treasure thing in crafting.
That’s why Stampin’ Up has such a variety of stamps available, because what appeals to one may well not appeal to another! And yes, they have LOTS of floral stamps but when flowers are your top sellers, you keep repeating them!
Final Thoughts….
We’ve busy days ahead to get ready for the family vacation next week. Clothes to pack – AND I actually have started packing!!!! Can you believe I’m not waiting til the last second to do so? I may still be rushing around come Friday night, but at least our swimwear is packed! I’ll be back tomorrow to share another project with you, but until then, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, check out the flyers for garage sales in your area, and God Bless!
