Looks Like Yesterday's Card But It's NOT! - Lola Rist, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Almost 24 hours with my new hearing aids AND I’ve yet to throw them ! I’m thinking this is a great thing because the ones from a month ago were yanked out of the ears WAY before hitting the 24 hour mark! But adapting to change can be a good thing, right? It’s also a lesson in patience. That may be the hardest part of this change!

So today’s card is one I shared yesterday on my FB LIVE. Since then I’ve uploaded it to my YouTube channel, so be sure to check for the picture above to catch the right video.

At first glance, you might think this looks like yesterday’s Z-Fold card since the DSP pattern choices as well as the focal die-cut are the same. This card is one that really involves lots paper cutting and scoring but once you’ve made a couple it’s pretty easy to make multiple of.

Same card as the one above, but this one is simply lying flat. AND it does fold and go into a regular sized envelope as well! In the video I shared how I went about coloring in the stamped image with blender pens. Blender pens are very easy to work with to get the watercolor look, but there is a learning curve to them.

Final Thoughts….

Today I will be meeting with those who signed up for the Popcorn Palooza class. I was so thankful to have double sets of the dies for this one since each person needed like 25 kernels of corn cut! UGH!!! Whatever was I thinking???? Lol!

Pool Boy and I are looking forward to a few quiet days before we head to St. Louis over the holiday weekend. I’ll enjoy the few hours I’m with my demonstrator friends as well as the time with our daughter’s family. Both girls called last week to share how school was going. They were so excited with their teachers and friends, so hopefully this second week has gone equally as well.
