Gosh, it has been cool, dreary, gloomy, rainy, just yucky outside which means not much can be done in our yards or flowerbeds. Which is a REALLY GOOD THING since I have the Green card class tonight and we are completing the spring sampler for our church members later this morning. Many hands have helped with this project – from die cutting, to stamping and heat embossing, to coloring and cutting – this has been quite the task!
In December we created the beautiful Bethlehem samplers to distribute among our senior church members who are homebound, residents of care facilities, or over the age of 80. Funds for the project came from an Action Team Grant from Thrivent. Each sampler was in a 12×12 inch frame so they could display in their home for the holiday season. So this spring, we are gifting them with a second sampler to replace the first one as we celebrate Easter. Again, thanks to Thrivent for approving the Action Team Grant! Today, we will finish up assemblying the 28 sampler needed! Everything is ready to go, so it’s simply adhere the large background mats and adhere the pieces so I anticipate less than 2 hours work left. We will see how close I am!
Interested In An Easter Sampler Class AFTER Easter????
We worked on the sampler at the Spring Retreat this weekend and several mentioned wishing I would offer a class. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested – this class will be available both IN PERSON and ONLINE with a tutorial. It will be a product based class and for those interested in ONLINE you WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE the Easter Lilies stamp set along with a bit more product. The LILY DIES are currently UNORDERABLE and they are not carrying over to the new Annual catalog, BUT I CAN INCLUDE the lily pieces and all labels in the kit with NO STAMPED IMAGES. Email me at flickoftherist@gmail.com or text/message me if interested ASAP.
