Good morning and welcome to the weekend!!!! And for many, it’s a three day weekend with President’s Day coming on Monday! Since I’m off to a women’s retreat at church, today will be a short post sharing a project crafted by Chris Howe and Pam Cosby – my sideline and upline with Stampin’ Up!
We Flipped Over The Ikea Frame Years Ago, And We Still Flip!!!!!
Goodness, it’s well over 5 years that we started our IKEA Flip Calendars, and every year people are requesting a new set of monthly cards so they can continue to use them – mine sits on my kitchen counter! I know my daughter in law sits hers on her desk, and my mother in law has hers sitting in the dining area. (Elda – if you are reading this, I’ll be getting yours to you soon!!!!)
When we first started the calendar project it actually was end of January, so to be sure everyone had a full calendar year, we started with February then carried it through to January of the new year. It may seem odd to do so, BUT it’s a lifesaver for us since December is such a packed month with holiday festivities. It was difficult to throw one more class into the month, so by bumping back to January, things were much calmer. Our people know to just flip the calendar one more time for January of the new year, and that it’s time to order your new calendar refills!!!
A couple of years ago I asked Pam and Chris if they would take the project over, and they have done a wonderful job! Above are the pictures of all of the months they prepared for their customers. For years we simply used a square mat, but this year they changed it up with a new die cut background!
We get our calendar refills from a small local printing company, so come January they know the request for refills will be coming. It is SUCH a blessing to have the gals at ABC Printers in our community. They design flyers and brochures for me – SO MUCH FASTER and SO MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL! I gladly pay them for the time, effort, and frustration it saves me! Some crafters take their cardstock packages to them and ask them to chop it up into half and quarter sheets as well.
Until next time, have a great weekend, enjoy some craft time, and God Bless!!! I’ll be going live on Monday morning on FB sharing how to use the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Folder AND Adhesive Sheets!!!
