A Cute Diorama Card With The Christmas Crew!

Hey everyone, and welcome to Monday! (I’ll let you in on a little secret – I’m writing this post about 36 hours before Monday! With being gone to the Chiefs’ game on the 20th, staying over night in KC afterward, then heading to Columbia for doctor appointments, it was either write early or not get a post in) I’m really hoping that the game on Sunday night was another great one that ended in a win for the Chiefs, but if it’s not I wouldn’t want to talk about it anyways.

There’s such a variety of Christmas products available currently between catalog, online exclusives, and simply the online store it’s really hard to touch on all of them. I’ve been very upfront that I’m not one who gravitates to cutesy stamps, but the Christmas Crew caught my eye on the preorder. I enjoy coloring with our blends, and the images and greetings are fun to play with, so it was perfect to use for this diorama card that I shared earlier in August on a FB Live with Chris Howe. Chris started playing with the diorama card idea, and created multiple cards. She pushed me out of my comfort zone and I knew this stamp set was the perfect one to use for my diorama card attempt!

Aren’t these fun characters?!?!? Love the different greetings for the signs, and the little tree die cuts helped to fill up the blank space, giving you a feel of a winter scene that could be in front of any home. Can’t you see these images as the big inflatable characters you can set up in your yard?

For the color combo, I went with DSP from the Creative Celebrations Mix and Match package, using Real Red, Hydrangea Hue, and Peaceful Pines. The final touch was adding the adhesive backed Christmas Berries gems. And didn’t I do a great job of adding the strip of Christmas packages across the bottom of the card? I’d like to take credit but it was simply pure luck – I cut the opposite side with the stripes, then when the paper turned upside down it was perfectly cut with the packages instead.

If you’ve yet to order this stamp set bundle go back and look again. The images are a nice size, with easy to add color – either with blends or watercolor brushes – and the dies are a definite “gotta have” cause who wants to fussy cut around the snowman and the blank white space around his little stick arm??? And no problem mailing this card! I simply lies flat and slides into our medium envelopes!

There’s a time for floral images, a time for elegant images, and a time for cutesy, and this card was perfect for showcasing the bundle.
