Good morning and prayers for safety go out to those who have been or are about to be impacted by Hurricane Ian. In the mid west we deal with tornadoes during the summer but even we receive rain from hurricanes dependent on their strength and the locations where they come in. Hopefully people in the hurricane path were able to either evacuate or have enough time to prepare for safety and emergencies if they remain at home,
Blessings Card Ministry And Quilts For Lutheran World Relief

We had a full day at Zion Lutheran yesterday with crafting! Many of our members belong to Thrivent, a benevolent organization which supports help in our communities by offering Action Team Grants to fund service projects of the members. Blessings For Zion Card Ministry has been in place for several years now with ladies gathering monthly to create cards for distribution to congregation members to have on hand when needing to reach out to others in need of prayer and comfort.
Another grant this year supports Lutheran World Relief by purchasing materials to create beautiful patchwork quilts to be used where ever needed. We had members who came for cards, stayed for quilts, and spent time sharing their talents by helping others.

These were just some of the members who were their to share their time and talents helping others. I apologize to those who’s picture I missed, but then again not everyone likes to be in pictures!
Final Thoughts…
An important part of Stampin’ Up! is how we help others and give back to our communities. They encourages demonstrators and customers in giving to others through their time and talents and have several days throughout the year where all employees take part in service projects during the work day. Stampin’ Up also provide sponsorships of philanthropic events organized by demonstrators and employees through a grant application process known as the Heart Of Stampin’ Up Award. Many of my friends and customers give willingly of their time to help at the local food pantries, helping with food distribution, man the gift store at the local hospital, and support local organizations established to help area cancer patients. As our Stampin’ Up mission statement says – In this, we can make a difference.
We have two hands – one to give, the other to receive.

God Bless!
