We’ve had a busy last couple of weeks, and the week ahead is the same, BUT when we make it past this weekend we will have a full week of no classes, no packages to mail, and we can focus on putting up Christmas trees as well as the holiday stuff that has to be displayed for Christmas. Our family will be in this weekend again, but this time it will be for an early Thanksgiving celebration, so that means besides all of the projects on the burner holiday meal prep is also added to the list.
The Deer Season Bake-A-Thon (renamed by the girls) was a huge success, and resulted in a double batch of cinnamon rolls, a double batch of chocolate chip cookies, zucchini bread, moon pies, and Hello Dolly bars. We were all sick of anything sweet by the end of the day, and the girls did a great job cleaning up. I simply stayed the heck out of the kitchen and let them have at it! I was disappointed there were no apple dumplings, but when I complained about it, Megan told me to get over it. Not happening this year! LOL
The Saint Nicholas Bundle In Framed Art Format!

Last week the Stamp ‘n Sip group met, and I felt it was time to roll out a St. Nicholas framed piece. We created this 5×7 insert to have on hand during the holidays, and I went straight to the mini catalog for inspiration!!! If you turn to page 11 in the Holiday mini you will find a St. Nicholas card where they started out with Crumb Cake cardstock, and used blending brushes to add the Pretty Peacock background. I simply enlarged the area to the 5×7 background and added the chimney piece for good measure!!!! Had to do some convincing for some of them to watercolor the background trees cut out of watercolor paper, but once dried and covered with Wink Of Stella, they loved it!

Thank you for hanging with me, even when things get hectic and busy. This was the way my entire career of teaching was – running between classrooms, buildings, and towns. Most teachers have one classroom, and I had as many as 5 classrooms between three buildings at one time. I guess after running and juggling things it’s become such a habit for me and I’m not sure I can just stop!!!
More info to follow on the Coats For Kids benefit this week, as well as annual achievements for this past year with Stampin’ Up. I’ve already seen the new mini catalog coming, and will be sharing a sweet Valentine this week from Techniques Class #2. Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and for me – keep running!!!! God Bless!!!
