I’ve been knocking projects off my list getting ready for next week’s in person Bingo, while also trying to get a head start on classes for October. I’m all for “work smarter, not harder” by getting double duty out of cards and projects for stamping events and posts combined. My October Stamp ‘n Sip project will be displayed at bingo, while I am also putting together cards that will work for a Fall Card Class next month. Today’s post was also my project from our group’s FB Live last night AND will be part of the Bingo display as well. Seem what I mean – double duty????

I love creating papercrafting projects to use for seasonal displays and gifts as well. Today’s project starts with a 5×5 frame. For my background I turned to one of the Basic Beige patterns in the Gathering Together DSP as a starting point. To add texture I used the Gathering Leaves embossing folder which is part of the Gathering Together Suite as well.
I wanted to create a soft wreath using the leaves stamps and dies in the Gathering Moments stamp set, but I wanted it to be an even circle, so I used a Basic Beige circle cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies as the base. I stamped multiple leaves with the color combo of Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Early Espresso then simply played laying out the dies to create the wreath.
The picture doesn’t show it, but to make the wreath appear more full I used a bone folder to curl each leaf before placing.

This photo gives a close up view to the embossed DSP as well as the curved dies. I attached each die with a glue dot on the stem so I was able to tuck in the Early Espresso berries at the end.
If you missed the FB LIVE or are not part of our private craft group and would like to be, simply click on the link below and request to join! We’ve been going strong since 2020 when we started the group with about 35 of our crafting friends. It was a perfect way to keep connected during the Covid shut down and here we are 5 years later with over 550 friends throughout the United States, Canada, as well as other countries such as Australia. If you want perfection with fancy editing, you won’t get that here! lol!! What you do get is fun, crafting on the fly, support and friendship even with the miles separating us.
