Look at this sweet face! (FYI – I DID get permission from her mother to post the picture!). Her momma was sharing with me how much her daughter enjoys crafting even at a young age, so I grabbed a couple of my extra kits and sent home with her. She had such a good time crafting with her mom, and they sent the picture for me to see her excitement.
You might also note this little gal is sporting her KC Chiefs’ cheerleading outfit, seeing how they were crafting the day of a big game. Raising her right, momma! But in all seriousness, she and mom did a great job assembling the treat boxes, but even better was the time they had together. That’s probably the best part of our Kit Collection – being able to craft with others.
I had a group of friends over to the house last night, and we gathered around the dining table and the kitchen island creating the Merry Manor house kit. We had so much fun spending time together as we crafted. Did we make some mistakes??? Of course, but everyone went home excited with their finished products, but even more so with memories of our time together.
Pool Boy served his Mexican Lasagna, I made his favorite Lemon Cake, and everyone brought their own drinks. We caught up on all of the new grandbabies that have been born, shared stories about other family members, and spent quality time together connecting.
Pool Boy and I brought the food to the table, friends brought their drinks, and Stampin’ Up! brought the opportunity to connect, the reason to laugh, to enjoy being together, and to craft together.
Our Kit Collection is the perfect time to gather with others – whether a group of friends or some one on one time with family members. Many people are overwhelmed with all of the products that we avid stampers love – the dies, the inks, the stamps, the DSP, the ribbons and embellishments. I remember the first time I attended the Stamp Club and how overwhelmed I was trying to decide what to buy. The kits would have been the perfect place to start had they been available.
Our all inclusive kits are a great way to introduce others to crafting, to gather together and create memories, and to build friendships spending quality time together. This little girl and her momma created memories, smiled and laughed, and had quality time together.
And watching the Chiefs’ game together as a family created for quality time as well!!! Just sayin’.
I’m on my way to California today with my sister for our cousins’ trip. We will be spending quality time together as well.
