So, last year about this time I got the idea to order some ceramic disc ornaments from Amazon. Who doesn’t love to make Christmas ornaments, and when you can use your paper, stamps, and inks from your supplies that just makes it all the better, right??? Absolutely!!! Then as time moved on they kept getting pushed to the back burner. Before long, it was almost Christmas and I didn’t get them made so box them up and put away for next year! Again – right????
Here it is September, and I was thinking about those ornaments. You should know the problem though – WHERE DID I PUT THEM????? Some place safe so they wouldn’t get broken or forgotten – WRONG!! Took me about 45 minutes of searching but I FOUND THEM!!!! So, today’s post is all about the cute red truck ornament I made for Monday’s FB LIVE.
Trucking Along – The Perfect ALL YEAR Stamp Set!
Aren’t these cute??? And super easy to make!!! First, I used the Pool Party Dark Blend and layered streaks of color for the sky. Then I inked the two trees from Festive Grove with black Sta-zon, then stamped and held in place on the disc. I masked an area off on the bottom third of the disc for snow and you need to be sure you re-ink your sta-zon pad before using. It is ALSO IMPORTANT to use the blend FIRST, the Sta-zon SECOND so there is no bleeding of the ink.
Stamp the cute truck with either the packages or the tree in the back of the bed on basic white card stock WITH BLACK MEMENTO! Color in with a variety of blends, then fancy snip around the image with your paper snips. I colored in the area around the top of the truck, window, and around the packages with Pool Party to give the appearance of the sky behind.
Use plenty of dimensionals and stick the truck down. Shade lightly under the truck and to give the appearance of snow drifts with a Smoky Slate blend. Tie your ribbon, and DONE!!!! I’m including a link below to Amazon for a similar item if interested.

Final Thoughts…..
So I may be behind making these ornaments for last year’s Christmas BUT I choose to look as if I’m working ahead of the game for THIS YEAR’S instead!!! And with our 3rd Christmas Card Class next week, we are one month away from having Christmas cards made as well. They just have to be signed and addressed and stamped and sealed……. It’s ok though, I have all of November to get that done. Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
