Wow! What a game last night!!! Pool Boy and I enjoyed the opening Chiefs’ game at home while my nephews enjoyed the game watching from our seats. My phone was dinging with incoming texts from friends asking if we were AT the game and also from fans that we sit beside wondering why we were NOT at the game. Some of those friends we have set beside for over 25 years. That includes Bob from Wichita who always has a sandwich in his pocket for halftime, Erich, who’s son Justin first started coming to games as a 1st grader and is now a Junior at MU, to probably the only other Lola in the stadium who sits to my right. Can you believe two Lola’s sitting side by side? And she makes me look really calm and peaceful during a Chiefs’ game. Just sayin!
Pool Boy’s phone started ringing right after the first TD with our daughter’s family shouting “TOUCHDOWN KANSAS CITY!” on speaker, and I had two texting threads going on my cellphone with Linda, Sam and I on one thread, and my friends Terri, Cara, and Jen on the other one. Even when we are in attendance in the stadium, those texting threads are on my phone, and Megan’s family will be calling as well. Can’t hear a thing when you answer, but they enjoy hearing the excitement from the fans. It made for a fun night with friends and family from all around. Dont’ worry – I guarantee Evan and Rachel are also watching but with the boys in bed asleep, they are a bit more subdued. (FYI – I’ve started teaching Ben how to do the tomahawk chop!).
We are looking forward to attending this coming Sunday to see everyone – and to hopefully watch another fun game!
I love the Christmas themed patterns in the Timeless Christmas DSP, available in our Sept-Dec catalog. I love the bright, festive designs and colors with Peaceful Pine, Poppy Parade, and Crumb Cake. I love having more than 2 pieces of the same 12×12 pattern, and I love how easy it is to design and coordinate with our other Stampin’ Up! products. This is such an easy fun fold with not a single die, and only three stamps, but it has a wow factor with the bright colors and the large greeting.
This will be one of our September Christmas cards as well for next week’s card class. So far I’ve shared 3 of the 4 designs – wonder what the remaining will be?? Check back tomorrow!
