As I sit here typing today’s blog there are rumbles of thunder happening outside. This is one of those days I would LOVE to simply stay home and stay put, cuddled under a blanket with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa! But instead, it’s a full day of running and going. Toddler Cal picked up RSV at school last week so Papa Pool Boy and I are tagteam babysitting him today. His mom and dad are trying to save their vacation days as much as possible seeing that baby #2 is on it’s way this coming November, so that means Papa and Nana are on call as needed.
I have the morning shift since I have an in person class this afternoon, so I’m up early posting and packing and really, still half asleep. I’m thankful we are available to help out both our kids and their families out. It’s not as easy to help Megan on the spur of the moment with the distance between, but she is good at scheduling us to help as needed so she can cover the emergency days as they pop up. Working from home has helped with those issues as well.
A Little Latte Framed Art For Gift-giving!!!

I needed a gift for a church friend who loves coffee, so today’s project is a cute 5×7 frame that I will tuck into a giftbag with some small flavored coffees from a local store. I shared this yesterday on my FB LIVE along with the card I will be making multiple of to swap during next week’s incentive trip.
If you have a Dollar store in your community, go check out frames! The one above cost $1.25 plus tax. I simply cut my background mat to 5×7, removed the glass and put the mat in first with the glass behind it. This allows me the freedom to add depth using dimensionals to pop up certain die cuts!

Check out the silver spoon handle in the Calypso Coral cup! I used the hobby blade tip for the take your pick tool to cut a small slot on the edge of the coffee. Simply insert the handle from behind the cup and it looks realistic!

Does the edge of the white square look familiar??? It should since I used the Radiating Stitches dies BUT there is no square included in the set!! With a little of cut and emboss machine magic I can alter my dies to create smaller shapes than the ones the die cuts out! Just another way to add versatility to your papercrafting supplies.
Did you miss yesterday’s FB LIVE??? You can watch the recording by clicking on the link below to my FB page, and while you are there please like and follow me for notifications of future FB LIVES, stamping events and classes, and current promotions from Stampin’ Up!!!! And, thank you for supporting my small business!!
