We take Nora home today after having her visit this week. She experienced her first horseback ride and went to the movies (I’m telling you, I live these recliner seats in the theater!!) along with other activities.
She has kept us busy and on the go and we have enjoyed having these few days with her before she heads to school. Once they hit elementary the years seem to speed up. Especially when they hit high school and you realize that college is just 3-4 years away and they are ready to leave the nest. Where did the time go???
I’m A Foils Kind Of Crafter!

The Lights Aglow DSP pack is beautiful but I really struggle using 6×6 packs of DSP when designing for card classes. The patterns are stunning and beautiful when you create for just a few cards, but when you are prepping for multiple people each getting 2 cards this size is not very cost effective. You certainly wouldn’t cut a full DSP mat 4×5.25 because you get one card per sheet. More times than not, my 6×6 DSPs are cut in strips of 1.5 inches such as the pattern in the card above, or 2 inch strips so I can get multiple cards from one 6×6 piece. When you can add gold foil strips to the edges it gives that little oomph – is that a word???? – to make that small strip pop! And I think foil is such an elegant addition to cards! Love it!!!!
Final Thoughts….
Today is packing for my Back Stage event with Stampin’ Up and gathering a small collection of craft supplies together so I can continue to post next week while I’m away. I’m even planning a FB live IF the Facebook Gods allow it! Just like our kids returning to school and a more structured routine, I need that as well. I’m a much more productive person with structure and a plan than spontaneity and go with the flow. Life runs smoother when we are on track!!! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!

Your card is lovely. I am wondering what punch or die did you use for the foil under the three tree stamp / sentiment? It works great!!
Hi Lynn! Thank you for your kind words! I used the Seasonal Labels dies to cut the gold foil mat under the sentiment label. I was so glad they brought that set back because it’s such a versatile set!!! Hopefully this helps you!
