Good morning everyone and welcome to Friday! No matter how much you organize, arrange, and schedule plans can change at the drop of a hat. This weekend was our grandson’s birthday party, so Pool Boy and I were making the drive to Alma to pick up his mom so she could attend, but with a ring of the phone everything changed! When the birthday boy, his baby brother, and parents are sick, parties get cancelled and plans change as well.
That’s the way life is, isn’t it??? You gotta roll with the punches and go with the flow. That means I have a couple of days to work on some craft projects that got pushed to the back burner so all is good.
Luckily we were able to get our In Person Bingo night off the calendar earlier this week. We had our largest number of people participating in make and takes, a great goody bag of supplies, and an excellent food collection for our local food pantry as well. So very thankful we were able to meet and enjoy the time together!!!

Everyone registered received a full package of the Timeless Plaid DSP, enough coordinating paper to equal a full package of card stock, as well as make and takes, a sheet of dimensionals, and 6 chances to win bingo prizes! Pam always chooses the prizes and she does a great job of selecting a variety that ranged from an embossing folder all the way to a bundle! And bingo simply wouldn’t be the same without our gal Johnna Bixenman Clarke calling the numbers. I’ve done that job once or twice and gotta say, I hate it. So very thankful to have her help with this!!!

With Bingo falling during our Sale-A-Bration time we were able to gather some freebies to distribute as a prize patrol. Everyone was given a portion of the fruit DSP that is one of the choices available. Who doesn’t like free paper????

Everyone had a couple of make and takes from the Spring Mini Catalog to assemble. It’s always a challenge to be sure we have enough of the new supplies on hand to cover the number attending, so we try to stretch those DSP sheets as far as we possibly can! Pam’s blue card highlights the new embossing folder from Sale-A-Bration, along with the DSP selection. My card included DSP from the new Online Exclusives along with the new label punch bundle in the Spring catalog.

With the help of Chris Howe, Sandy Werr, and Pam Cosby we created/displayed examples of the sketches on page 12 of the mini catalog. We used the Timeless Plaid DSP for all of the samples, and included measurements and supply lists for each displayed item. It’s a great way to see new products, new layouts, and how to use our catalog as a resource in our papercrafting.

We use our bingo nights as a way to replenish the local food pantry, and I am so proud of our crafting friends for supporting this. This is completely optional but our ladies give very generously and although you can not see the depth of the collection the food pantry was blessed by our crafters!!! Arlene Theerman always helps out distributing the tickets to those participating. This year we also had a “jelly roll” drawing for a $25 Stampin’ Up gift card donated by Linda Ellis. Those participating received raffle tickets for buying/donating jars of jelly and 4 packs of toilet paper. Linda and Arlene take on the collection part of the night and all I needed to do was simply take the picture of the car!
Overall, we had a great night! Pam and I are blessed to have friends who step up and help us so much with our events. A special thank you to Kathy Slover for slipping in and play the cards for a couple of our gals who ended up in the ER due to a mishap on the way to bingo! They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes special friends to help pull off a Bingo night!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!! Keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
