On Monday’s FB LIVE I shared the polished stone technique and some of these color combinations are gorgeous!!!! My plan is to share two or three of them in cards later this week or next week while we are travelling. For the polished stone technique you need cotton balls, 90% Isopropyl Alcohol, a B or C acrylic block, and a surface that’s protected for your work. I started with the lightest of my color combinations, then I simply wiped the block and added the next color without changing cottonballs. The card stock I used was our Basic White and you can stamp directly on the dried sample with memento. You can also use Vellum or Shimmer paper for polished stone, but be sure you use Stazon if you want to ink directly to the dried surface!
So Here Goes The Color Parade!!!
Final Thoughts…
So which one of these is your favorite????? I can see pairing one of these up with an intricate, basic white die cut such as the Petal Patterns or the Gorgeous Garden ones – creating, simple but stunning cards. I also think they would work great in an embossing folder for the texture!!! So many ways to use the polished stone technique. Hope you give it a try!!!
Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
